Well, it's been run, done and won again. It's always a mixed bag of feelings swimming around my head when it all finishes. Releif that there's nothing left to plan, organise or whatever. But, coupled with that is the fact it was so much fun surely it shouldn't have ended so quickly. I was having a ball, most of the time anyway.

I'll admit, things were looking pretty grim leading up to the event. I had a terrible cold that I couldn't seem to shake off and a wisdom tooth in my upper jaw had decided it was high time to push through my gum line and start digging in to the back of my jaw. So, I started the weekend on antibiotics and pain-killers, nice...

Pre-Liber Lunch - Saturday
However, what a lovely way to start a tournament weekend, a nice big lunch with half the starting field in attendance. The players and support staff were invited along to a lunch on the Saturday at The Park Orchards Chalet (head chef being Speedy Adicts girlfriend). It was nice to have the place to ourselves and be so well looked after. My compliments to the chef on a ripper parma! A few quiet beers in front of a log fire on a chilly Saturday afternoon was very relaxing. Most importantly, was great to start putting faces to names before the actually tournament began.
